About Me

           My Ph.D. is from the University of Florida and I received my M.Div. from Concordia Seminary,

          St. Louis, MO. I have served as an ordained clergyman, taught in college and university

          Psychology departments for many years, directed a parent education project for a decade, and

          provided training and consulting services to many organizations. I began counseling in 1989.

I am licensed in North Carolina as a Marriage and Family Therapist and also as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor. During my career, I have worked with hundreds of individuals, couples and families in agency and private practice settings. My clients are frequently struggling with marital or parent-child conflict, depression, anxiety, loss and grief, spiritual issues, and other personal and family difficulties. If the problem you bring is outside the scope of my practice, I will help you find appropriate resources.

Personally, I have been married for 49 years, have two married children and four grandchildren.
