What to Expect From Counseling

The first session typically starts with gathering some information about you and your situation. Then, we will talk about your concerns, your goals, and how you will achieve a positive outcome from the counseling process. If you come as a couple or family, everyone participates.

      Sessions are generally 50 minutes in length. It may be best to meet every week. Other times,

      longer intervals between sessions makes sense. Most commonly, fewer than six sessions brings

      satisfactory results. Sometimes, longer-term counseling is necessary.   Teleheallth sessions available

You can expect that I will support and guide you on your way to a solution. But, you will likely be asked to work on some “assignments” between sessions. Along the way, you will learn about yourself, develop some personal skills, and improve the quality of your life.
